Your Invitation Awaits!

Hello Friend!

I am excited to be joining the Women of Hillside for the November 13^th Ladies Day Retreat.  If you live in the area of Woodstock, GA (or want to make the trip to Woodstock) – YOU are invited!!

I thought, maybe, there are some who might be unfamiliar with a retreat and could use a little more insight about what to expect as encouragement to register.

This is going to be a day of fellowship, worship, and Word – designed specifically for you!  Ladies leading ladies.  We’ll be in the Celebration Hall, and sitting at tables to enable easy conversation. We are very aware that folks are still hesitant about large group gatherings but are also convinced that we are called to offer this in person – live event. We will have all the normal protocols in place and do encourage you to wear a mask if that will make you more comfortable.

The theme of our day is Why Did God Choose….. Finding your story in Advent.

I know, it isn’t even Halloween yet and I’m talking about Christmas. On November 13^th we’ll be setting ourselves apart to let God speak to our hearts about Christmas – the first coming of Jesus. We will step in to the beloved Christmas stories of the birth of Jesus, Elizabeth and Zechariah, Joseph, and the Shepherds – discovering how intentional God was in choosing these people and these places for the first coming of Christ.

Christmas is about more than Jesus’ birth.  The weeks leading up to Christmas Day, our Christian season of Advent, are to be a time of prayer, confession, repentance, and preparation for the Second Coming of Christ.   And in discovering how relevant these stories are for us today, we’ll also know how intentional God is about choosing us to participate in his redemption story.

November 13^th will be a sacred day.  I’m looking forward to sharing God’s Word with you and hope to see a room full of new ones.  Invite your friends and family. Bring your daughters.  The Lord has a special message just for you.

The doors will open at 8:30 and we’ll begin our day at 9:00 a.m.  We’ll finish up around 4 p.m.  The deadline to register is November 10^th.  We do need time to plan food!! You can register at http://hillsideumc.org/womenofhillside
